Wagyu Steak on the White House Menu!

What's for dinner at The White House? Apparently Wagyu Steak!

ABC News reported yesterday that Wagyu Steak was on the menu at the cocktail party held at the White House last night. Wagyu Steak is a Kobe-style beef that comes from the Wagyu cattle, originally brought to the region as work animals for harvesting rice. Because of the remoteness of the region, the cattle never migrated to other regions of Japan and eventually developed unique genetic characteristics, like their superior marbling.

If you are a meat-lover and you haven't tried it, you are in for a real treat when you do! I lived in Okinawa Japan and it was always a looked for treat to visit a restaurant that serve this delicacy.

Well you don't have to go to Japan to try Wagyu Steak. Some of the finre restaurants here in the states have it on their menus. Happy eating!
